Sarah from South East Northumberland had been out of work for 9 months and was struggling with anxiety about returning to work. With our help, she’s tackled online interviews, learned techniques to manage anxiety through coaching, and is delighted to have now found a job.
“My time with Bridge has really helped me with my anxiety about going back to work. From the first contact I had, everyone has been so helpful, understanding and reassuring. Leanne immediately came across as someone who wanted to help me which put me at ease so I could explain the issues I had so she was able to get me the best help. I was anxious about using the service to begin with, but by the end of my time with Bridge I looked forward to our regular catch-ups. Thanks to her I even managed an interview via Teams. Video calls are something I swore I would never, ever do!!
“My weekly sessions with Amanda really helped me. Again, she put me at ease straight away. I always find it difficult & upsetting to talk about how I feel but Amanda gave me time and space to get things out. The techniques she taught me to use to manage my anxiety will help me in all aspects of my life. I hadn’t been sure how effective telephone coaching would be but I found it really worked, always taking something positive from each session.
“Leanne also referred me to Julie at CAB who was also great and advised me on where to find the information I required & gave me contact details for CAB should I need assistance in the future.
“I have found the whole experience very positive. It has helped me to reconnect with the outside world & feel a lot more confident going forward. Everyone is really lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bridge to those I meet who are facing obstacles to work.”
Well done Sarah! We’re delighted to report she is now in work in a care role.
