What’s your role in a nutshell?

To provide support and guidance to enable people who access our services to be able to move forwards, closer to employment, or to be able to identify and take the steps to be able to get closer to gaining employment.

Do you have a secret talent for anything?

I enjoy being an Aquarist in my spare time and successfully breed Bristlenose Plecs and Cichlids from Central America. This is maybe because I am an Aquarius birth sign?

What’s the best part of your job?

Interacting with people and listening to them when they do something that they didn’t think they were capable of. It’s not just about finding a job, it’s whenever someone achieves any of their goals, it’s very, very satisfying and still gives me a buzz after many years of helping others.

What’s your favourite memory/proudest memory?

The day I got married.

What’s your favourite food?

A spicy hot curry or a good steak with chips.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Anything with fish, keeping fish, eating fish and catching fish. I also enjoy a good book, watching films and playing video games.

What advice do you have for people considering joining the programme?

Don’t hesitate. We are all about you. We help you to find your own way and we are there to support your journey. You are not alone as you will find out when you meet people with shared problems. And if you are in any doubt have a look at some of our case studies and read their own journeys of success.
