What’s your role in a nutshell?
I’m the ‘bridge’ that links beneficiaries to the opportunities they could have. I’m responsible for helping them to realise their potential, so we work on the barriers and come up with some actionable next steps with help from partner organisations.
Do you have a secret talent for anything?
I am full of energy and courage when it comes to trying out new and different things in life – and that is why I am over 7000 miles from where I grew up.
What’s the best part of your job?
I am going on a journey with each of the beneficiaries to embrace changes and get them out of their comfort zones. Seeing them take charge of their life makes it all worthwhile.
What do your colleagues say is your best quality?
Enthusiasm is what drives me and having a passion for life.
What’s your favourite food?
Anything seafood related.
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Exploring the north east of England – more importantly enjoying a cuppa and cake.
What advice do you have for people considering joining the programme?
Why not? You really don’t have anything to lose and by having someone working closely with you at your own pace provides support – check out the Good News Stories that we have shared as the results are encouraging
