Angela Davis

Digital Skills Lead Tutor, based at Blyth Resource Initiative Centre (BRIC)

What’s your role in a nutshell?

To offer Digital Skills initial assessments and upskilling as needed, on a one-to-one or group basis.

Do you have a secret talent for anything?

Well, I can speak a bit of Italian, I can grow just about anything, and I seem to be able to attract lots of beasties to my garden, as well as beautiful butterflies and birds.

What do your colleagues say is your best quality?

Compassion, patience.

What’s your favourite memory/proudest memory?

Probably being able to have a whole conversation in Italian with friends in Italy, or flying high in the sky in a paragliding tandem feeding vultures in the sunset in Andalucía, or seeing elephants bathing in a waterhole in South Africa…so many memories to treasure.

What’s your favourite food?

Most things as long as it’s healthy. …err and maybe the occasional cream cake

What do you like doing in your spare time?

Grow flowers, fruit, and veg, walk my dog, and learn new things every day.

What advice do you have for people considering joining the programme?

Just do it. You never know where it might lead you…
